Winter 2015:  Presented technology workshop entitled, Google Chrome and other Cool Tools.  This presentation guided teachers to integrating google chrome apps and extensions into their classrooms.

Winter 2015:  Presentation to parents on the new ELA curriculum.  Explained the curriculum, assessments, and fielded questions to clarify.

Winter 2014:  Presented two technology workshops entitled,  SMART Response Clickers in the Classroom for the Beginner and  SMART Response Clickers in the Classroom for the Intermediate User.  

  • Beginner Level:  Learned how to create and manage a class using SMART Response Teacher Tools.  In addition, they set up simple notebook assessment to use with students as a way of getting started with classroom.  Participants were given step-by-step instructions not only in how to create assessments, but also how to teach students to use the clickers.  Classroom management was discussed.
  • Intermediate Level:  Learned how to attach standards to questions and analyze data for real-time differentiation.  In addition, participants had an opportunity to learn and explore how websites such as Espresso Learning could be utilized as tool for developing literacy-based assessments using clickers.  Finally, participants learned more advanced question creation options that could be utilized for homework assessment, lesson exit tickets, etc.  

November 2014:  Presented action research thesis findings, Critical Thinking Skills and Habits of Mind, in Hershey at the 63rd Annual PASCD Conference.  Audience was superintendents, principals, teachers, and specialists.

October 2014:  Presented action research thesis findings, Critical Thinking Skills and Habits of Mind, in Harrisburg at the PAC-TE Conference.  Audience was college professors and administrators.

Winter 2013: Taught English Language Learners and the Multicultural Classroomcourse to secondary education students.  This course was an introduction to the fundamentals of English Language Learners language acquisition and the impact on content area learning. It addressed linguistic and cultural backgrounds of ELLs and the strategies necessary for teaching content and assessing learning in the inclusive classroom. The course emphasized components of curriculum content, teaching techniques, second language literacy, and the development and evaluation of teaching materials. It was also designed to introduce teachers to issues in cultural diversity by taking a comprehensive look at research, policy, and effective practices.

Fall 2013 and Spring 2013: Presented a technology workshop for students at Delaware Valley College. Technology workshop focused on how secondary classroom teachers can integrate technology in classroom using discussion forums, SMART board applications, websites, Taskstream digital portfolios and other software programs.

July 2013 Presented the workshop entitled, Technology Integration in the Language Arts Curriculum.  This workshop was offered to Springfield Township School District faculty during their Summer Academy program.  It highlighted the use of  technology to meet students needs and facilitate explicit instruction.  Google applications were the focus.  In particular participants were able to see how GoogleEarth, Google Docs, etc., could be directly implemented into a lesson as way of increasing student engagement and participation.  Glogster was also reviewed.

August 2012 and August 2013:  Presented the workshop entitled, Words their Way Meets the Interactive White Board – Words their Way is a differentiated spelling program for K-5.  This workshop was offered to Springfield Township School District faculty during their Summer Academy program.  It highlighted the use of  technology to meet students needs and facilitate explicit instruction.

Spring 2013:  Presented to school faculty how to compile standards based data using the Everyday Math website.

Fall 2012 and Spring 2012:  Presented a technology workshop for Professor Reilly Secondary Education students at Delaware Valley College. Technology workshop will focus on how secondary classroom teachers can integrate technology in classroom using discussion forums, SMART board applications, websites, Taskstream digital portfolios and other software programs.

August 2011:  Presented a Language Arts-Technology integration workshop to colleagues at Springfield Township School District Summer Academy.  Focus was on how you can add spice to Language Arts curriculum through websites, wikis, google apps, audio files, movie clips, etc.

September 2010, November 2010, and March 2011:  Presented a technology workshop for Professor Reilly Secondary Education students at Delaware Valley College. Technology workshop will focus on how secondary classroom teachers can integrate technology in classroom using discussion forums, SMART board applications, websites, Taskstream digital portfolios and other software programs.

July 2010: Presented a technology integration workshop at the Wissahickon School District Summer Institute.

June 2010: Presented a technology workshop at the School District ofSpringfield Township Summer Academy.  This workshop showcased my use of SMARTboard integration while teaching Making Meaning during Language Arts.  The goal was to train faculty on how to integrate technology into their Language Arts Instruction.

February 2010: Presented a technology integration workshop at the Wissahickon School District February Showcase, featuring how I use the Moodle in my classroom.
